Priest Who Built Mt. V Catholic Church Is Dead

The Rt. Rev. Monsignor Francis J. Tecklenburg pastor of St. Boniface Evansville and dean of the Evansville district died this morning at age 83. He earlier led St. Mary’s Mt. Vernon in the early 1920s and built the present Mt. Vernon church replacing a small frame structure. Funeral services await Bishop Albert Zorowester of Belleville arriving from Rome tomorrow while he attends the Vatican Ecumenical Council.

Prices paid through 12:30 p m showed hogs up 1.15 with top at 29.65 for 200 to 220 lb hogs. Sows gained 20 to 23.00 for 300 weight down while sows 300 weight and over slid to 22.75. Boars rose to 15.50 and 16.00. After 12:30 p m, prices shift to next day’s basis.
