Martha Alice Stonecipher of Cartter Illinois died Thursday at age 78. Funeral services will be at 2 pm Sunday at Harvey's Point church with Rev Q L Hubbard officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. She was born February 20 1875 to Sam and Mary Keele. Survived by daughter Mrs Alvin Darnell Wayne Michigan two brothers Jess Keele West Fenny Charley Jt Idaho, three sisters West Vernon and Ruby Potter of Kaaskia Idaho, three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Rev Joe Albert Riggs 71 died at his Wesley Iowa home on Friday. The body to be taken to Osborn Funeral Home Dix for funeral at Union Chapel Methodist Church conducted by Rev Karl Harmon. Born June 10 1882 to Harley H and Sarah Warner Riggs. He married Edith Darling of Rochester NY in 1914, she preceded him in death a few months ago. He served as Wesley Methodist pastor for 13 years. Survived by daughter Mrs George Burnette Terre Haute Ind, a brother George Texico, sisters Mrs Charles Boyle Burton Kan and Mrs Ira Shafer Texico, and 15 grandchildren.
