Louis F. Reed of 814 North 6th Street died at 12 30 a m today at his home at age 68. He was born February 2 1901 in Kentucky, the son of G B Reed and Delilah Payne Reed, a retired coal miner. Surviving relatives include two brothers Fred Vernon and Matt Tamarapa and two sisters Julia Schoof Lincoln Nebraska and Nannie Anderson Benton. Preceded in death by his parents two brothers and two sisters. Funeral arrangements at Myers Funeral Service are incomplete.

Youth Injured In Cycle Accident on Harlan Road
A 16 year old boy suffered leg injuries when his motorcycle collided with a car on Harlan Road southwest of Mt Vernon. Terry Nixon of Rt 3 reportedly backed his cycle from a driveway and hit Hazel Ramsey 41 of Rt 3. The crash occurred about 12:15 p.m. Nixon was reported in good condition at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Recapture Tank From Reds Near Tay Ninh City
U S Green Berets and South Vietnamese irregulars recovered a World War I era M41 tank from an enemy underground cache 12 miles northeast of Tay Ninh City.
