Woman Hospitalized After Single Car Wreck Wednesday

A Dahlgren woman, Marietta L. Halsey 22 Route 2, was hospitalized in good condition at Good Samaritan Hospital after her Log Cabin Road crash a mile south of Route 460. Deputies report the car left the road hit an embankment and overturned possibly due to a flat tire. The car sustained major damage.

Suit Countersuit Settled Out Of Court Here Wednesday

A $25 000 lawsuit and a $4 100 countersuit were dismissed in circuit court after an out of court settlement. David B. Sledge accused Roy and Burrell Sledge of beating him when removing his bull from their property. Rend Lake College trustees formally approve a balanced 1976-77 budget the first in five years with revenues of 2,659,622 and expenditures of 2,693,515 leaving a 66,107 surplus.
