Deaths and Funerals William Lane Dies at 91

William Underwood Lane a retired machinist died at his rural Webber township home at age 91 six months and 23 days. Born in 1860 in Dayton Ohio he married Margaret Mercer in 1884 in Marshall Texas who preceded him in death. Surviving are a daughter a son two more sons five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services are set for Saturday at Myers Chapel with Rev Bird Green officiating. Burial will be Harmony cemetery. The body will lie in state after 10 a.m. Friday for viewing.

Ollie E Britton Dies at 73 in Springfield Home

Ollie Edward Britton died at 9 30 this morning at his home 1303 South 26th street aged 73 years 12 days. Funeral will be Saturday at 3 30 p m at Myers Chapel with Rev Sam Mc Coy officiating and burial in South Hickory Hill cemetery. He was born August 11 1878 in Springfield son of Mr and Mrs Robert Britton. He married Cora Bell Hays in Mt Vernon in 1942 who survives with one son Robert M Britton of Springfield and two daughters Lenore.

Huston landed in Korea in July 1950 and left for the states in late July this year with a heavy mortar company of the 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Division.
