Millionaire Oil Operator Shot to Death
Thomas W. Doswell a 55 year old millionaire oil operator with holdings in west Texas and New Mexico was shot in his car by a .38 snub nose revolver. His wife said she had taken the gun from the glove compartment and it fired while she handed it to him. The weapon was wrapped in a towel. Police noted two empty cartridges and one bullet found. The Doswells had recently traveled from Pueblo to Clayton New Mexico before the fatal incident.

Peoria Official Hits Alderman in Council Scuffle
