The Bend Lake College Board of Trustees tabled overtime pay for instructors while approving a $10,000 base pay schedule and hiring Earl Knight Max Lude and five others including Cecil Holland Reuben Hawkins Leslie Cox Diane Anderson Ruth Asper for various posts. It also elevated Brad Evilsizer to chair mining and industrial technology and authorized a search for a new department chair for several other programs. The board reviewed the 1975-76 audit showing deficits in Education and Building and Maintenance funds and authorized action with the Illinois Commerce Commission over Continental Telephone. Further actions include faculty benefit increases such as life and health coverage, sick leave, tuition waivers, and an extra duty pay plan as well as plans to hire a new dean of instruction with a Doctorate, salary 20 000 to 24 000.
