The Jefferson County Teachers Institute will be held one day Saturday August 27 beginning at 9 a.m. in the county court house. All country and village teachers outside Mt. Miss Fay Correll entertained Miss Wilma Cotton of Mt Vernon over the weekend. The B Y P L U work progresses with Miss Overby as instructor. Officers elected include President Mrs Coats Vice president Bernice Mattox Secretary Clarence Coats Corresponding Secretary Mr Beals Treasurer Willie Heilig Librarian Mrs Pyeusy Chorater Mr Webber. Meetings will be every Sunday night. Mrs Ralph Johneen of Mt Vernon visited Game Mattox Sunday. Several attended Tony Pitchford's sale Thursday. Mrs Irnie Price retired to Decatur after visiting her parents. Bernice Matty, the only graduate from Shilot township, won the scholarship. Fay Correll and Nun Weatherford of Webb school also graduated. Lena Willd ivillings with relatives. The community notes revisions to corn crops and Mary Overby entertained at Frank Coats home Sunday. She will return to Packsburg Tuesday after five days teaching the B O Y P U nianiual.
