Isiah Miller 32 of 1211 S 9th St died Friday at Good Samaritan Hospital at 10 am. Funeral services planned in Senatobia, with burial there. Born June 13 1944 in Lula, he was the son of Isiah Miller Sr and Alma Gilmore Miller. Survived by wife Shirley Davis, son Isaac Jerome Miller, three daughters Lesta Shirley Jean and Ursula, four sisters and several brothers. Friends may call at Farker Funeral Home tonight 7 to 9. Death of Linda Jean Fenoli at 26 in Belleville Hospital

Linda Jean Fenoli 26 of Route 5 died at 1 30 p m Sunday at Belleville Memorial Hospital where she worked. An autopsy was performed. She was born December 23 1949 at Clark Air Base Philippines to Col John Robert Fenoli USAF and Jeanette Elizabeth Fenoli. She was a registered nurse from St Josephs School of Nursing Alton. Funeral arrangements will be from Osborn Funeral Home Dix. Surviving are her parents six brothers and others.

Pontiac inmate found hanged in prison cell

Zemar Shannon, 4, of St. Anne, a convicted murderer sent to Pontiac Correctional Center less than two weeks earlier, was found hanging in his cell by a belt and cloth tied to a cell bar. Shannon had been tried in Kankakee County and transported to Pontiac on August 5.

Chicago reports the American Medical Association says the average patient wait to see a doctor is 20 minutes. A nationwide survey found 7.3 days to obtain a non emergency appointment, with general practitioners at 27 minutes and psychiatrists at 57 minutes, while obstetricians gynecologists averaged 17 days.

Rape Charge Is Pending Against Mt. Vernon Man

Formal charges of rape were pending today against a 32 year old Mt. Vernon man who allegedly raped a 21 year old woman Friday morning. Police say detectives report he gave a raped statement over the weekend admitting he forced sexual relations on the married woman. He was released pending formal charges.
