Deaths Pearl Cook 59 of Whittington dies
Pearl Cook 59 of Whittington died yesterday at Franklin County Hospital. Funeral services are set for Wednesday at 2 00 p.m. at Johnston Funeral Home with Rev. Walter T Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh cemetery. Friends may call after 4 00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where the body will lie in state. She was born in Illinois August 18 1909, daughter of Herman and Gertrude House. She married Alva Cook who preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons Lowell Cook and Bobbi Cook, four daughters Louise Kramer Elaine Lucini Peggy Womble Mary Lou Kramer, one brother Omar House, ten grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was the son of the late Mr and Mrs A D Cockrum of Ina.

About 200 Negroes faced 70 police including city, county and state officers in Danville after using park tables to barricade Williams Street. Six Children Die In Arkansas Fire
In Russellville Arkansas six children died in a two bedroom frame house fire three miles south of town Sunday. The bodies were moved to Little Rock for autopsy and authorities said foul play was not suspected.
