James L Lorimer 63 Mt Vernon professional engineer died of an apparent heart attack Tuesday. He was stricken while driving on 12th Street and died on arrival at Good Samaritan Hospital. He owned Lorimer Engineering and resided at 61E Mt Vernon Gardens apartments. Funeral at St Marys Catholic Friday 10 am Father Burke presiding. Burial in Marys cemetery. Survived by wife Peggy two children James R and Mary and a late son John. He was born February 12 1911 in Jerry Illinois and was a member of St Marys church and professional engineers association. He also served on the Chamber of Commerce board and the Work Shop Advisory Committee at the Jefferson County Rehabilitation Center. Funeral home visitation after 5 pm Thursday with rosary at 8 pm.

Eighteen year old Terry R Flanagan of 1700 North 42nd Street was hospitalized in good condition at Good Samaritan Hospital after a collision with a car driven by Kathryn A Smith on Richview Road near Shiloh church crossing. Deputies noted Smith attempted a left turn but backed up when blocked by two vehicles. Traffic and rescue crews responded. both vehicles sustained major damage.
