She was 55 years old and worked as a machine operator for International Shoe Co. Born March 11, 1898 in Hamilton County, she lived in Mt. Vernon 39 years and was a member of Central Church of Christ. The Commerce Department reported June personal income rose to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 286 billion dollars, lifting the first half of 1953 to 283 billion, up seven percent from the first half of 1952.
