Five thefts were reported in Mt. Vernon and Jefferson county late yesterday and this morning. Fuel oil worth about 200 gallons was stolen from Mildred Lacey’s tank a mile south of Woodlawn. A wrist watch and diamond ring disappeared from Doris Hefley’s home at 606 Nora. A pay telephone was ripped from a booth on east Main street. A mailbox was stolen from Earl Morgan’s home east of Mt.
