He died 8:25 p.m. Saturday at his son Curt Bradley Jr.’s home in Cape Girardeau Missouri after living previously in Mt. Vernon. Survived by wife Edith, daughter Mary Jane Bobbitt, a son, and a cousin. He belonged to the Elks Lodge of Flora and Musicians Local 8&9.

Evan Pearson, 52, a former Mt. Vernon resident, died Wednesday in Scottsdale, Arizona. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and the body will be brought to Myers Chapel. He was born in Franklin County, son of Charles and Alcie Nell Pearson. He was married to Dorothy Lyle and is survived by daughter Pamela at home, brother Neil Pearson of Chicago, and sister Mrs. Genevieve Dale of West Frankfort. A retired coal miner, he worked at Nason for several years.

War criminal escapes prison in Brunswick Germany
