Two Gary cousins Die In Ill Wreck Near Harrisburg
Two men from Gary Indiana area, Noble Karnes and Larry Eidman, were killed when their compact car left U S Route 45 two miles north of Harrisburg Illinois, wrapping around a tree and sinking into a water filled ditch. Karnes may have drowned while Eidman died from head injuries. Eidman’s body was found in four feet of water about six feet from the tree. The car owner was Karnes, and the wreck happened near the Middle Fork Creek Bridge after witnesses saw the car’s wheels spinning.
