Raymond Fitzjerrells shot and killed a wild grey wolf yesterday while farming south of the Mt. Vernon State Game Farm. He retrieved a shotgun after the animal lingered by a fence, then fired as it turned back toward him. The Fitzjerrells farm lies on the Davis road near Opdyke. The wolf measured four feet and was estimated to be about three years old.
