Fills $500 Bond In Check Case
William Burleigh Bowlin of Buckner posted a 500 bond at the sheriff's office on a warrant charging theft by deception. County officers say the charge stems from two bad checks used to purchase musical instruments from Lester Fenton of Mt. Vernon. Bowlin did not pass the checks but accompanied two men who gave the bad checks at Fenton's store, one for 208 dollars and one for 159 dollars. Warrants have been issued for the two men, believed from Town. they have not been apprehended.
