The body lies in state after 5:00 p.m. today. She died Tuesday morning at St Joseph's Hospital. She was born in Marion County, daughter of William and Millie McMeen. Survivors include Oscar Thomas. son William Thomas. four daughters Louise HuckLe, Wilma Boggs, Claudine Short, and Betty Hord. Oscar McMeen of Tuka. 19 grandchildren. eight great-grandchildren. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Two non serious injuries were reported after two automobile crashes in Mt Vernon. At 7 20 p m Loren Stull 56 of Harrison street collided with Gary A Wilson 17 of Wayne City at 22nd and Perkins injuring Gertrude Stull and Sandy Sanders both 17. Stull faced a charge of failure to yield right of way. Earlier in the day Ray Herbert and Arnold Ross collided in the 300 block of South Ninth Street with light damage.
