Carolyn Rogers 41 died in a New Orleans hospital at 9 30 a m Thursday. She was the daughter in law of Mr and Mrs James C Rogers of Mt Vernon. Surviving relatives include her husband seven children her parents Mr and Mrs George Wallace all of New Orleans three sisters and one brother.

H B Shorty Blanchard 71 former mayor of Centralia died yesterday at St Mary's Hospital in Centralia. Services will be at 1 30 p m Saturday at the First United Presbyterian church Centralia burial in Tamora cemetery. Burial to be in Tamora cemetery. He served as Centralia mayor two terms 1947 51 and 1955 59 and had been a candidate for a third term but withdrew due to failing health.

Wall Street rose as traders shook off a dull week. The Dow Jones industrial average climbed to 906.27, up 2.39, with the AP 60-stock index at 316.1, up 0.8. Oil, metals, and mail order stocks rose, while aircrafts and airlines fell amid mixed overall results.

The total exceeded the 118 pints per day quota by 17.
