Mrs Glenn Kiger hosted the Wednesday Afternoon Bridge club with high scores by Mrs Axel Bergdahl and Mrs John Devin. After games, guests enjoyed frozen fruit salad Ritz and coffee. Attending were Mrs W H Bainter Mrs Ben Galer and Mrs John Devin.

The Memorial Hospital faces a space and equipment crunch as birth rates rise. An annex to the nursery is planned to handle more babies, with gifts for an electric refrigerator, sterilizers, at least eight bassinets, and other items requested to improve care for newborns. Local donors are urged to contribute to equip the revised nursery and support the hospital budget.
