The Clio study group met Friday afternoon hosted by Mrs G Baxter with Mrs Byron Anglo and Ms Edna Eland present. They discussed Friendship Now With Latin America by Lettis Hawke and Virginia Quarting Weien. Regular business followed with refreshments served by MrClimn.
The regular meeting of the Legion Auxiliary at Olds Legion Post was held in the hall of Mrs. Evei Lee. Harold Netsatl, vice president, planned a move to further community work. After the business, members sewed carpet rags for the Veterans Hospital and were served refreshments by Mrs. Eval Lea Mys, Margaret Gave Vick, and Mrs. Fern Roush.
Presbyterian juniors gathered at the home of Mrs Owen in June for a church mission night. A brief business meeting occurred after which the twenty third Psalm was read, followed by refreshments and social games. Jody Bolesnd and Janel Hofinsa served refreshments.
The Trenton WSCS held a luncheon for 16 members with discussions on the year’s program and fundraising. Mrs Dwight Smith and Mrs Anna Bates led an inspirational devotional as plans for Bible studies and health service outreach were outlined. Next meeting led by Mrs Fudd Pulver is scheduled.
Crystal Rebekah Lodge held an installation on Thursday evening with about 125 attendees. The presiding grand lodge official led the ceremony honoring deceased members and welcoming new officers and staff, with a dinner following and remarks thanking participants.
