Mrs. Raymond Vandenberg hosted Cubs of her den for a Christmas party Tuesday afternoon at the Vandenberg residence. Cubs presented mothers with pictures, gifted Mrs. Vandenberg with a plaque, and refreshments of cake cookies mints and coffee were served. Guests included Mrs. Ralph Sheldabarger Judy Woodford and Karen Craig.
The Get-together Club held its Christmas celebration at Mrs Anna Watson's Lowell home. A program by Mrs Anna Thornburg and others entertained, with carols, gift exchange, games, and refreshments. Members and guests included Mrs Ben Williamson Mrs Henry Johnson Mrs T O Canaday Mrs Olin Jarvis Mrs Ethel Heibcher Mrs Gerd Jolson Mrs Kate Welch Mrs Port Crosley Mrs Lioy Thornburg Mrs Charles Thornburg Mrs Ray Gerber and the hostess.
Doris Thomas, president of the Llana Chi Mu chemistry club, hosted a Christmas eve buffet supper. Guests included Prof. and Mrs. B. W. Hockett, Prof. Harold Matzke, and several students and guests. The event featured a pine centerpiece, creamed chicken, biscuit corn, and crackers, followed by carols and piano music by Mr. Wits, C Fordy, and others.
The annual Christmas program at the Trenton Methodist Church drew a good crowd on Sunday evening with recitations and other performances featured by attendees in the church.
Vernon Shafer entertained a group of friends at a holiday dinner Monday evening. After the meal, games and records were enjoyed. Present were the host Vernon Shafer and guests Harlan Bainter Barbara Crane Jerry Linder Sally Buukhanees and others.
Dialogues and songs by the junos department feature the Chrismas story. Rev W A Guffen delivers descriptions. The upper classes staged a turdeligh service in improper costumes. A free will offering for Lak a for Ww Christ Christmas raised $24.70.
Twenty eight Daughters of Isa bella attended a Christmas party at the parish hall Monday evening. Hermins Aspengren won high score in card games and received a potted plant. Ann Pressnell was presented the doors.
After the games, refreshments were served at a lodge decorated for Christmas. At closing, gifts were exchanged by the members. Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Similar of Nashua spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Kerr.
