Mr and Mrs Charles Atwell entertained a small company of friends complimentary to Mr Sumner Chase of Fort Dodge and Mr Karl W Hoagint whose birthdays are April 8th at the Golf and Country Club Sunday evening. Dinner was served at seven with guests seated at one long table decorated with lighted tapers and flowers. Birthday cakes, served by the honored guests, were an interesting feature of the party. Hillsboro American Legion Auxiliary to meet at New London April 14. luncheon reservations through April 10. Delegates named from Hillsboro include Mrs Knight Hartley Mrs Gerald Simpkins Mrs H D Tade Miss Zo Beley and Mrs John Carter. An Ensley breakfast served at 9:00 a.m. in the Baptist Church basement for 28 Young People class members and teacher Mrs H B Tanglin, prepared by Mrs Harold Sheldon, in honor of her son George. After breakfast the class attended Sunday Sevens and Easter Worship. Mr and Mrs W Eyler and Cassie Sturdivant spent Easter at Elmo Eyler home near Mr Wilson. Mrs Elton McCabe and family returned to Knoxville after Easter vacation. Mr and Mrs Benn and Mrs Anna Watts spent Sunday in Fort Madison at Ben Williamson’s home. Mr and Mrs James Campbell and children of Guumwa spent Sunday at John Page home. Mrs Campbell remained to care for her mother, Mrs Page, who is ill.
