Spokane High Graduates Honors at Commencement

The Spokane High School commencement was held at the Auditorium last evening. Among the graduates was Miss Nettie King, daughter of Mr and Mrs G. As King formerly of May 1. The class numbered over one hundred, and Miss King was chosen to deliver the oration as a recognition of her rapid advancement. Many old friends congratulated her on her achievement.

Price of Board Up At Hotels In Moyie

Dimock and Hagarty of the Cosmopolitan hotel and Armstrong and Riley of the International hotel have raised board to one dollar per day due to higher meat and food costs. Other Moyie hotels already charge one dollar daily or more. A local remedy advertisement notes use of Chamberlain's Colic Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy, sold by Moyie Drug and Stationery Co.

Meeting Proposed for New Fire Hall Celebration

A community meeting to plan a grand ball and celebration for the new fire hall is proposed, with Dominion falling on Monday. Geo. J. Batchelor of Batchelor Bros reports ore from St Eugene for the Panhandle smelter at Sandpoint Idaho, soon to be blown in, noting strong ore supply and wide smelter demand.
