Killing at Livingston in Sunday shooting dispute
Virgil Mullins son of the late John Mullins engaged Bert and James French in a Livingston area shooting Sunday. Bert French was killed and Mullins wounded while the mule he rode was shot. Mullins surrendered and was taken to Mt Vernon for medical care before being jailed.

Field Artillery Division Moves From Camp Knox
On Tuesday morning a permanent firing squad of Field Artillery from Camp Knox, 83rd Division, with 75 mm guns, machine guns, and Caterpillar tanks, began a march to Camp Benning, Georgia. Five hundred men in full equipment travel at 35 miles per day, with slower progress expected through the mountains.
