Rockcastle County advertisement for 1916 road bids

Sealed proposals to the Fiscal Court of Rockcastle County are invited for the construction of a fourteen mile sector of the State Aid Road from the Lincoln line to Laurel County through Brodhead Mt. Vernon and Livingston. Bids due May 16 1916. Plans at Mt. Vernon clerk office. Bid bonds 5 percent. Contracts require Public Roads approval. Bids may cover lump sums or unit prices for grading and macadamizing. Work under State Road direction.

A E Albright was elected school trustee defeating Chint Lear, with the board reelecting the principal and faculty.
