Local News Briefs From Hopewell And Surroundings

Hopewell reports Bertha Carmical is very ill. Mt. Pisgah hosted services Saturday and Sunday led by Rev. Clouse. A daughter weighing ten pounds was born April 24 to Mrs. William Robins. Hopewell preaches again Saturday and Sunday with Rev. James Barns. A neighborhood fire caused excitement last Wednesday but was controlled with little damage. Myrtle Evans visits her uncle Robert Evans near Mt. Vernon. Homer Carmical visited his sister Mrs Saphronia Carpenter at Mt. Vernon on Friday. Allen Adams sold one span of mules to a local buyer.
