Langdon Memorial School Progressive Meeting Resolutions

A provisional committee led by J W VanWinkle adopted six resolutions at a Rockcastle County Progressive meeting. They endorse the Chicago National Committee platform of 1912, demand county officer salary cuts and economy, advocate a ticket for county and district offices in November, plan district meetings, and publish the resolutions in local papers. The report includes local notes from Langdon and Mt Vernon areas and school updates.

Miss Tempest Ward Runs For Rockcastle County School Leader

The Mt. Vernon Signal notes Miss Tempest Ward as a candidate for Rockcastle County School Superintendent. Ward, daughter of J. H. Ward formerly of Sonora, has taught rural Hardin County schools for five years and held the Tunnel Hill school last fall with high praise. She holds a State certificate and is deemed highly qualified. Rockcastle voters are urged to elect her.
