Tragic Death of James W. Samuels in Freight Train Accident
James W. Samuels eldest son of Mayor W A Samuels was killed while trying to alight from a fast moving freight train near Mt Sterling Kentucky. He had been visiting Lexington for aviation events and attempted to reach his home in time for work. The accident occurred in front of the depot baggage room as the train sped through Mt Sterling. Public mourns a beloved assistant city engineer and cherished friend. Funeral services were held at his sister’s home and he was buried in Machpelah cemetery. sorrow fills the city as relatives and neighbors express sympathy.

Traveling Man Dies in This City
Mr. Peter Hamburger of Dayton Ohio representing I J Cooper Rubber Company collapsed with apoplexy at the carriage shop of Henry Seniour. He died about midnight after treatment at the National Hotel. His brother arrived Saturday and his body was sent to Dayton for interment. Hamburger, about fifty, was a well known traveling salesman. Buy your meats and groceries at Greenwade's.
