County Commissioner Gibson Passes Away in Chicago
County Commissioner John W. Gibson of 1250 N Winchester Ave Chicago died Tuesday morning at St Mary's hospital Chicago pneumonia listed as the cause. He chaired committees on legislation judiciary and state relations for the County board and long served in Republican politics including as a former state representative from the 6th district. He also held roles in the criminal court clerk's office and as a deputy sheriff and was committeeman of the 47th ward.

A Sunday evening crash near the Salt Creek bridge west of Palatine killed Frank Lieseke aged about 41. His car collided with a Oakland driven by C A Doughall of Arlington Heights. Lieseke died from injuries. Doughall and his wife and child were injured. Police found two empty bottles in the Lieseke vehicle. licenses and car details were under investigation.
