MDHS Band Boast 74 Members In 68
SUSAN ADANO reports the MDHS band has 74 members including majorettes and hurricanet tes with new uniforms this season. Band booster officers elected Mr. Pitzer president, Mr. Wiederhold VP, Mrs. Poindexter secretary, Mrs. Johnson treasurer. Kay Wiederhold captain and Ricky Steadman drum major led by head majorette Shelly Pomroy.

Milner Rosenwald PTA Opens Year With Meeting
The first PTA meeting on September 16 in the school cafeteria welcomed attendees led by Mrs. Mare Gilbert. Vice-president Floyd McCraw ran the business session as Principal C. O. Lott outlined needs for children, parent duties, and plans for a Halloween carnival, plus new teachers. The PTA contributed 25 for cats at the Day Care Center, refreshments were orange juice and homemade cookies, and parents toured classrooms to meet teachers including Mrs. B. J. Thomas.
