Mount Dora Cadets Learn Aircraft Ground Work
Mount Dora youths Paul Hopkins and Ronald Arrowsmith, cadets in the Lake Squadron Civil Air Patrol, gained hands on experience in aircraft ground work. They helped dismantle and move a PT 19 trainer from Umatilla to Leesburg field with Austin Bros. of Umatilla and Lt Glenn Bolles assisting.

Shuffle Board Contest Draws Eustis and Mount Dora Cast
In Eustis last week the card draw partners event split into two courts with all Eustis players on one side and all Mount Dora on the other. Nearpass and Erdman led with 243 points while Whitehead and Whitehair posted 246 for Black. final Black 100 to Red 717. The gallery, small due to a looming storm, saw 30 join supper and five courts play three 20 minute periods for high score near 237. Blu menshine and Dehn near 252 for Red winning 107. Clark and Edwards led Black with 368 and 87 in the final game. Prizes awarded as usual. New member Vredenberg of New Jersey arrives as a year-round visitor. Downey and Clark siblings noted at Hotel Simpson.
