Fishathon Draws 204 Entrants in Mount Dora Event
The second annual Fishathon at Mount Dora Golden Triangle Shopping Center drew 204 entrants on Friday and 262 on Saturday. Sponsored by Mount Dora Chamber of Commerce and local merchants, prizes included bicycles donated by Bronsons Sears McCrorys and George Daugherty, with three age groups. Police and Explorer Post helped supervise, Lions Club staffed a stand, and Amelia Legion members plus Maryland Fried chicken provided balloons for trash pickup exchanges.
