Croquet Courts Vetoed By Council In Gilbert Park
Gilbert Park will not host croquet courts this year after the City Council denied a petition by 10 senior citizens. Funds shortfall and lack of backers willing to contribute about 800 dollars were cited. The council will pursue a revised trash pickup policy and purchase a new 20 cubic yard truck to handle increased loads from the Golden Triangle Shopping Center.
