Mr and Mrs E E Nutter entertained a party on Capt Wise s boat The City of Dora during a Dora Canal trip on Wednesday October 2 The guests included Mrs Richard Campbell and Mr Campbell from Waterford Ohio Mr and Mrs H W Campbell of Beverly Ohio Mrs A J Waltz Charlie Carpenter Howard Nutter and Peggy Lou Nutter.
Announcement of the marriage of Miss Edna M. Townsend of New York City to Dr. Henry M. Spooner of Mount Dora occurred on Wednesday at high noon in Tavares. Mrs. Spooner was ten years with Doctors Hospital in New York and an old friend of the groom. The doctor was long a noted Detroit physician before retirement.
A waffle supper hosted by Mr and Mrs S L Kittrell on Donnelly Street Mount Dora honored Miss Peggy Champ and Mr Sam Swiger whose wedding is set for Thursday.
