Girl Scouts Present Books to Mount Dora Library
Mount Dora Troop 31 members Linda Brown and Annie Wilson with Mrs. Richard Eddy delivered nine books and six flip charts on dramatics song dancing and scouting to the Mount Dora Library yesterday. Proceeds from a cookie sale funded the books and camping gear. A rummage sale is planned for Saturday Nov 12 at 9 a.m. behind Rehbourn's Hardware with calls for clothing donations. A neighborhood meeting for Mount Dora Tavares and Eustis leaders is set for Oct 13 at 10 a.m. in Tavares to exchange ideas.

Lakes and Hills Garden club will host a Christmas Bazaar and Bridge Party with a new exhibit theme “Christmas Trees Around the World.” Three trees in foreign-country styles will be decorated, paired with country hangings and items to educate children and delight the community. Mrs. H. L. Barnes invites residents to donate foreign ornaments or accessories.

IceHouse Tryouts Fail To Draw Will Try Again Tonight
IceHouse Players held try-outs with under ten participants from a 700 member group last week. A second reading for the November play Howie will be held tonight at 7 30 p m at the theatre. Home Demonstration Club Plans Meeting
The Mount Dora Home Demonstration club will hold an all day meeting at the community building on Wednesday. Mrs Ruth Hahn will teach wall plaques in the morning and participants should bring aluminum TV trays pie tins coat hangers and frame supplies. Miss Mary Jane Hodges will lead an afternoon program on easier house keeping. Bring a bag lunch for noon. Coffee will be served.
