New Members Join Commission

Three new members were welcomed to the Planning Commission at its meeting Monday eve. Dan Bishop was named to represent the Park Board and will chair the waterways committee and join the beautification committee. John Bukey will represent the Shuffleboard club and serve on the street committee. J. R. Tucker was appointed Legion representative and will serve on the sewage disposal plant committee. Florida's 1950 campaign to prevent forest and range fires is underway. Do your part by being careful with fire at all times.

Plants Freeze Out Plant Sale Rescheduled for December 9

Dorans woke to damaged decorative plants from a cold snap and will get a chance to replace them at a Founders Circle sale on Saturday December 9. The Lakes and Hills Garden club postponed the sale to be held all day on the lot beside the post office on Alexander Street offering plants flowers and garden supplies.
