The Red and Black shuffleboard events ran across Nov 15 to Nov 21 with 19 courts led by Ernest Morris and 21 courts in the Saturday final. First high women Wimberly Garriott 253 and high men Jarvus Wagner 237 led playoffs won by Peterman and unmatched partner 228 as women edged men 101 to 96. Mount Dora Club sent 22 teams to Winter Park for a friendly day. Winter Park won 34 to Mount Dora 28. Monday Thanksgiving Day Tourney starts. 118 names on record with six verified from 1961 list. Officials included referees Earl Dodd Harvey Osterland and umpire Clyde McCauley.

The Golf Club notes rising new and returning member numbers as qualifying rounds begin today at the local course. Several new markers improve play, and members praise fellowship and course improvements.

Lake County Flower Shows and State Flower Shows will be shown at the annual luncheon of the Hibiscus Circle of the Lakes and Hills Garden Club.
