Marine Corps Bicentennial Service Held in Mount Dora
Lake County observed the Marine Corps 200th anniversary with a memorial service in front of Mount Dora City Hall led by the Robert M. McTureous Jr. Detachment of the Marine Corps League. Jr. Marine ROTC from Sanford Naval Academy performed volleys and drills under Col. E R Daniels USMC retired. Mayor Tom Champion welcomed attendees as State Vice Commandant Dave Curtis spoke about Florida designation of Marine Corps Sunday.
