The Heart of Florida Girl Scout Council completed a 12000 dollar lodge at their camp using 1963 cookie sale proceeds. Next year’s sale funds improvements including another trailer with six canoes and new tents. F F A boys led by William Scruggs of East Lake Weir High School planted trees cleared land and trails to attract wildlife. The camp will serve troops and five thousand Girl Scouts from seven counties with over 400 campers in the past two weekends.

New Boating Law Applies to All Vessels in Florida
Gov Farris Bryant signed a legislative act bringing all boats in Florida under the state motorboat law.
