The Carroll family expresses deep thanks to friends in Mount Dora for support, flowers, and cards after the death of husband and father Lewis Carroll. Donald McDonald and the Hamiltons also acknowledge public generosity following a house fire in Tangerine Florida.

Melvin White injured in a fall breaking an ankle. Planning chair Frank Bussey leads Friendship Day preparations as June 1 nears.
The Chamber of Commerce reports about 450 requests for information on Mount Dora from around the world after an advertisement in Holiday magazine last January. The inquiries continue at about five per day, says Secretary Betty Siess.
