Mount Dora High Year End Activities And Awards
Mount Dora High wraps the year with a silver yearbook dedication to retiring staff Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Shotts. Prom preparations continue with a May 23 event featuring Ron and the Star Fires. Students enjoy a casual dress day on Prom Day replacing Grub Day. FHA hosts Mother Daughter Banquet May 17 at the Community Building, theme Star and Stripes and FHS. Sadie Hawkins May 16 at the Hurricane Hut invites girls to ask dates. Gymnastic show May 14 at 8 p.m. admission free with donation urged. Some students tour Crystal River Marine Science Station as part of a state program. Anchor Club elects officers for next year led by President Nena Bissell.
