Mount Dora police chief J T Huett warns dogs left running at large may be disposed of by shooting if needed. The ordinance allows disposal of unidentifiable dogs and cats and requires owners to keep dogs on their property after nuisance identification. Increase in complaints prompted action.
The 1972 Cancer Crusade in Mount Dora has exceeded its $2500 target by over $700 with memorial contributions and two areas still uncounted. Campaign chairman Col. Molloy Vaughn says the 50 percent rise over last year shows strong community effort and thanks donors amid other health drives. No business solicitation is planned this year. checks should be made payable to the American Cancer Society and mailed or dropped.
