Orlandoan Faces Fruit Theft Charge
Joseph Bentley of Orlando is jailed in Lake County awaiting circuit court hearing on fruit theft charges. Three co defendants were arrested during the season by Sheriff Willis McCall and deputies. Bentley’s truck used to steal 100 boxes from Fosgate Growers in Howey area March 3 was traced via fingerprint casts by Drepty James L. Yates. Authorities say Bentley sold the fruit to an Orlando purchaser licensed to trade fruit and was paid 272 dollars.
