Florida High School Track Meet set for April in Gainesville
The Fourteenth Annual Florida High School Track and Field Meet will be held April 6 and 7 in Gainesville with representatives from every section of the state. Twenty four schools entered last year and Miami led in 30 points followed by Tallahassee 28 Ocala 27 Duval 25 Hillsborough 18 and Ft Lauderdale 11. James R Boyd Jr graduate manager of athletics will award eighty medals and caps to winners. The novice class is dropped and all contestants compete in the championship division. A total of sixteen events are on the program with ten track and six field events. Entry blanks and data have been sent to all high school mentors and entries are due by March 31.
