Orange Blossom Chorus preps for Mount Dora appearance
The Orange Blossom Chorus of Orlando directed by Richard Payne will perform April 5 at 8 p.m. in the Community Building auditorium. Sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce the concert aims to raise funds for Camp Challenge with tickets at 2 dollars available at the Chamber office.

Dorans win top ribbons as Mount Dora Lakes and Hills Garden Club collects numerous blue red white and yellow awards at the Lake County Fair Garden Show. Winners span Artistic Division Horticulture including hibiscus camellia azalea and poinsettia with multiple individuals named. Junior Gardeners and Section B also feature blue red and white ribbons for students and 6th graders.

Mount Dora Women Golfers Shine At Inter-City Meet
Dora golfers from Mount Dora club attended the Inter-City Central Golf Association meet at Daytona Beach Country Club. Florence Manning won 3rd low net 75 and Bert Baird 2nd low net 70 in Class A while Jean Forbush claimed low putts 29. Arline Kirkpatrick won a putter in the raffle. The Mount Dora group also reports a forthcoming Easter program and an Inter-City meeting scheduled at Orange Hill Country Club on April 8.
