Triumphs of Frank Bridgman and Mount Dora Club
A Mount Dora tribute chronicles Frank Bridgman born in Springfield Massachusetts on Easter Sunday 1869. It notes his Massachusetts legislative clerkship from 1894 to 1939 and a large retirement banquet. The piece covers his lifelong lawn bowling, travel knowledge, and civic ties, plus a March 28 reception at the club house with a rink 1 gathering of octogenarian bowlers. It also records Mount Dora League events including a March 20 bridge and canasta night and a sharp victory over Orlando with standings showing Peabody, Daytona, DeLand, New Smyrna, and Mount Dora. The report highlights Hillside and Spencer rankings for ladies and men.
