Boats Line Up For Water Fun At Gilbert Park
Boating enthusiasts from the Orlando Power Squadron Winter Haven Boat Club and Triangle Boat Club crowded Gilbert Park ramp for a busy Sunday launching on Lakes Dora Eustis and Griffin. The Triangle group led by Jess Cadwell and First Mate Bess cruised Dead River through Dora Canal and Lake Dora before a noonday lunch. Over a hundred vessels jammed the waterways as balloons announced messages, while the Cadwells hosted a Happy Hour and cookout at their Tavares home. The day included radio traffic from Commodore Gene Berato guiding the Mystery Cruise and a lively return trip through Dora Canal.
