Mount Dora Hikes Electric Meter Deposits and Rates
City council raises renters deposit on electric meters to 40 dollars from 25 with reasons tied to higher charges from Florida Power. A future major business deposit and a formula for changes on new ownerships were deferred. Electric rate increase from FPC raises bills about seventy percent next month. Also plans for a new library development were scaled down for review, with fundraising steps approved. Council okayed a corridor annexation, small concert funding, youth fruit picking, and a 125000 loan while golf association donations were presented.
