Coin Club to Donate 1961 Proof Set for Time Capsule
Directors of the Lake County Coin Club vote to gift a 1961 Proof Set to Mount Dora High School's Student Council for burial in the Time Capsule in the central Quadrangle during the last week of May 1966. The coins will stay sealed until opened in 2000 and belong to the school. The meeting also covered Racketeer Nickel history and coin collecting investment notes. Leonard Phillips, club president, led educational programs to keep member interest high.

NSLI Insurance to End May 2 1966
NSLI to close its National Service Life Insurance program on May 2 1966 after reopening last spring. Leesburg Club Supports Toys and Collectibles Exhibit Night
An outstanding campaign raised 120 for Christmas toys for children at the Harry Anna Crippled Children's Home in Umatilla and coins for child collectors at the Home. The club, Doing Things for Members, has grown to 84 members in 10 months. Tonight at 8 p.m. the Leesburg Community Center hosts a member driven program on hobbies guns stamps clocks and antiques with short exhibitor talks and welcomes visitors.

The Mount Dora City Council, in its March 15 1966 meeting, enacted first reading of an ordinance annexing the Donnelly Street right of way from the north city limits to the intersection with new Highway 441. A second reading is set for 8:00 PM on the upcoming council meeting date in April 1966.
